Eligibility:To qualify to be considered for a Jeanette Honan Scholarship applicants must:
- be ‘home-rated’ for fees purposes and undertaking an assessment of financial circumstances through Student Finance England/Wales/Northern Ireland or the SAAS.
-come from a household with an annual income of or below £40,000 p.a. (i.e. eligible to receive a UK maintenance grant of at least £711.
-have no prior experience of higher education.
- be entering in 2011 as a full-time undergraduate in level one on any of the single or joint honours degree courses in French.

Scholarship Open for International Students: No

Scholarship Description: New for 2011-entrants, this scholarship will support four new students hoping to study their degree in single- or joint-honours French. The awards are worth £1,000 per year for the four-year duration of a full-time undergraduate degree, and are targeted at those whose financial circumstances may otherwise prevent them from studying at the University of Leeds.
