University of Helsinki announced Doctoral Studentship for research at Graduate School Law in Finland -2011

Eligibility:
The doctoral students will focus on completing a doctoral thesis in the field of legal studies. Their tasks will include a limited amount teaching and administrative work. The students must register in one of the participating Finnish universities to carry out the doctoral studies.

Scholarship Description: In August 2011, a call for applications will be announced for the Law in a Changing World doctoral programme, co-ordinated by the University of Helsinki. Twelve full-time graduate school positions will be announced for the period 1 January 2012-31 December 2015. Law in a Changing World (LCW) includes almost all higher education institutes in Finland conducting legal research and offering legal education.

University of Birmingham announced Fellowship for research at the School of Metallurgy & Materials, UK -2011

Scholarship Description: Skadden Fellowships will provide support for 2012 law school graduates and outgoing judicial law clerks who want to work in the public interest for the type of organization described below. The Fellowship duration is for two years. Grants will be made to sponsoring organizations only. Therefore, before the final application date of October 3, a public interest organization which will sponsor the applicant must be identified. The sponsor must be a 501(c)3 organization which provides civil legal services to the poor, including the working poor, the elderly, the disabled or those deprived of their civil or human rights.
